Art with Alison Wild – Creative, Relaxing & Fun
Alison Wild is a highly respected and experienced art instructor within the Tameside community, known for her warm teaching style and creative sessions. She offers art classes at Academy HQ every other Monday, along with a variety of popular special events.
From “Paint Your Own Pet” to the ever-loved “Highland Cow” workshop, Alison’s sessions guide you step-by-step to recreate your own professional-quality painting – no experience needed! These classes are a fantastic way to unwind, socialise, and explore your creativity in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

Makaton Workshops at Academy HQ
Academy HQ is proud to facilitate a range of Makaton workshops led by a licensed Makaton Tutor and Early Years SEND Lead. These sessions are designed to support communication, inclusion, and understanding for individuals with speech, language, and communication needs.
We run a variety of workshops throughout the year, including:

Staff Wellbeing Days
Are you looking for the perfect space to host a staff wellness day? We've got you covered! Book a 4-hour wellness session at Academy HQ on any Monday between 9am and 1pm, or Fridays between 10am and 4pm, and enjoy a 20% discount on room hire during this limited-time offer.
We also have access to a network of world-class instructors offering a range of activities designed to support mental health and well-being, including:

Free Paediatric First Aid Courses at Academy HQ
We’re proud to host regular FREE paediatric first aid courses here at Academy HQ, delivered by the fantastic team at Sunflower Childcare Group, who do incredible work across Tameside.
These sessions are ideal for parents, carers, and anyone working with children who wants to feel more confident in emergency situations.
